Vote FOR Mental Health and Recovery Services Tomorrow

The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board has been providing vital services to our communities for almost 50 years. I invite you to check out the breadth of services and programming available to each of our communities at www.wecarepeople.org Whether it is training teachers in the PAX Good Behavior Game to prevent substance abuse or responding to a school crisis or reaching out and providing child psychiatry through an iPad, The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board is committed to being there for families and children. We’ve proven our commitment to the community by funding a 24 hour crisis center with 16 beds, and any-day-of-the-week walk in services to make sure that anyone who needs our help can get it. We have stepped up to address the opiate epidemic that is ravaging our communities through medication, treatment, and recovery coaching and it is effective. Our Hopeline is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week at 1-800-567-4673. Our mental health professionals talked to over 8000 people last year alone. The sad truth is that in the past five year 92 people have committed suicide in our three counties and in the past two years 33 people have died from drug overdoses. Without these vital treatment and prevention services more people will die. You can help. Vote FOR Mental Health and Recovery Services tomorrow.
