Back to School

ree

Back-to-school time in August holds exciting possibilities for kids, like learning new things and seeing friends. But being ready for school each day means more than backpacks, binders, and bus schedules. It also means students and caregivers alike must mentally prepare for the stressors and challenges they may face throughout the year.

SAMHSA’s Back-to-School Toolkit provides resources that support behavioral wellness for students. These tools are designed to help parents, caregivers, and educators talk to children about mental health and substance misuse, identify where additional support may be needed, and connect to care.
